Randolph Rampy RV Park | Tatum NM

On our journey eastward across the country, we stopped at the Randolph Rampy RV Park in Tatum NM. About an hour or so east of Roswell, and 10 miles from the Texas border.

Nice quiet park to stop and relax after a couple long days driving through the mountains.

Tatum New Mexico offers this free RV Park  for up to 3 nights, providing free electric, water and sewer. Also BBQ grills and picnic table. No other ‘amenities’ but its all you need for a short stop over. Not much to do in Tatum, seems we missed eating at Tiny’s Burger Barn (closed on weekends? WTF?)

We stayed at Randolph Rampy RV Park on a Friday and Saturday night and were the only RV there the entire time.

T-Mobile nor Sprint broadband would connect here but there was an open WiFi network with decent speed and a very stable connection.

To get to Randolph Rampy RV Park we drove just over 300 miles from Pie Town RV Park in New Mexico. The drive on Route 60 and 380 East was a little more mountainous than anticipated, but absolutely beautiful. So glad we chose to drive this route. The RV is performing great!

  1. thanks for the heads up on this campground. WE are planning to go that way next spring. Great to know it is free.

  2. Wow, I am going to save this information, we have always wanted to go to that area, and this is a place to stay!
