Still only $16 a night but no hot tub, no pool onsite (have to go to the roof of the California hotel next door for a pool), smaller spaces, all asphalt (parking lot), and ‘prison’ showers (no privacy). It’s all about location here – just a couple blocks from Fremont Street. This year we had spot 216.
The shuttle from Sam’s Town RV Park stops running around 9pm so we moved to the downtown Las Vegas RV Park at Main Street Station for a few days (the weekend) to avoid the ‘curfew’ of the shuttle.
In addition to all the other entertainers, we also watched a great 80’s cover band called Arena Tribute. Very talented and versatile group, we liked most everything they played.
DJ Lada GoGo put on a high energy show that had a large crowd dancing on Sunday night. You can watch DJ Lady GoGo videos on YouTube.
We also went to Mermaids for a snack / treat a couple times while staying at Main Street Station RV Park downtown.
All American hot dog and french fries. What would you get for desert? Chocolate covered banana? Deep fried Twinkies? Deep fried Oreos?
This year we had the opportunity to spend some time on the Las Vegas Strip (Luxor Casino Hotel) and then downtown at the Fremont Street Experience before heading out of town.
