Sept 2-3 2011 – We spent a couple days parked at the Dancing Eagle Casino RV Park in Casa Blanca New Mexico. This year we stayed in the RV Park for $10 a night we had elec/water and access to the dump station. Supermarket (with a Hardware store inside) next door and a DQ at the travel center across the street. (Last year we boondocked overnight in the parking lot at the Dancing Eagle Casino)
Day 1: While at the market (for lunch) we had a malfunction of a check valve in the RV water system, causing a small flood. Water was pouring out of the RV as we approached. The water tank was back filling from the city water inlet. The tank was expanded to its max and water pouring out from everywhere it could. We drained the fresh water tank. The dry desert air will dry everything up quick.
We spent most of the day working while enjoying the mountain views and the comfortable weather. Cooler temps here (80’s) are a welcome change from Oklahoma (110).
Day 2: After work we played some games at the casino and enjoyed the cheese steak sub and the Indian fry bread with honey. Refreshing afternoon rain shower and then a beautiful sunset in the high desert. We will be leaving here in the early morning to beat the heat going into the desert (Las Vegas). If we can get on the road early enough we will be in Vegas around noon, if not we may stop in Kingman AZ.
